Spacious and quiet triple room with good facilities in a lovely relaxed hotel. Enjoyed a swim in the pool and a good breakfast with local produce. Staff were friendly and polite and happy to advise about local restaurants and places to visit.
Set in the Verdon Regional Park, this hotel features a swimming pool and a shaded terrace in the garden. Regional dishes are served in the hotel’s restaurant.

The geographical situation (we fell in love with the Moutiers-Sainte-Marie village and were impressed by the vertiginous Verdon valley), the tasty and varied breakfast (though it was not ready by the announced time), and the friendly staff. We would also have appreciated the terrace with the pool if the weather would have been warmer.
Located on the main square of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, Le Relais offers a terrace and a bar right by a waterfall.

Clean, comfortable rooms. the view from the front of the hotel over the lake is gorgeous. We came off season so the restaurants in the village were not open. Gabrielle Hotel let us heat up some food from the epicerie in their kitchen which was kind.

To be honest, I had a lot of expectations going to this place, so I couldn't help but be a little disappointed by the end.
The water of the lake is really nothing special and at the bottom, there was this slimy matter discouraging a bit swimming, especially considering that the sea is actually not that far.
Restaurant wise the place tends to have a very touristy vibe, I can't say that we've had anything exciting for food and things tend to be expensive.Activity wise which was also the main purpose of this trip: Hikes were nice, you had some decent view and difficulty, the problem was that we were not aware that the dam was opening only on Tuesdays and Fridays so we didn't manage to kayak.
Something problematic also was that everything was very far away and you needed an hour of driving(minimum) for anything that is not next to your hotel.

Good hotel with a great view.
Good hotel with a great view. We had a room with two separate beds on the first floor overlooking the lake. The room was pleasantly cool every day. The air conditioning worked and was quiet. We let the air conditioning run through the night. Bathroom (with bathtub) and WC were in two separate rooms. A modern flatscreen hung on the wall. We had a balcony with two chairs and a table on which we had our dinner. Breakfast was good. There was a coffee machine, tea, different juices, muesli + cold milk, baguette + toast bread (toaster available), yoghurt, various cheeses, salami, boiled ham, various jams, honey, wrapped Nutella portions and fresh fruit. In the egg boiler we were able to prepare the fresh eggs according to our wishes. The breakfast could be taken inside and on the terrace (with view on the lake).
A supermarket could be reached on foot, as well as the post office and many restaurants, which were also very well frequented in the evenings.
The beach was easy to reach via a steep path + stairs. There were trees for shady places, the ground was hard with small stones. Alternatively one could lie on the pebble beach in the blazing sun. A second bay can also be reached on foot, also here there are not too many shadow places, hard ground and on the way into the water small stones had to be overcome. We put on slippers to go to the water, as we had to walk over a few meters of stones. The water was clear and clean, hardly waves, there was an inland lake.
Excursions made: lavender fields, mountain villages

fantastic location, with great views over the lake, plenty of parking and 2 min walk to a number of restaurants and a bakery and ATM. it’s only 2 minute walk down through an olive grove to reach the beach (note it’s stony as everywhere on the lake, bring water shoes). the hotel itself is fairly basic as are the rooms, but have everything you need, super clean and with comfy beds and good air con. staff were lovely, and bar on site provide drinks and ice creams etc throughout the day and evening.
Perfect place to stay after arriving in Nice that morning. Drove along the coast then up to the hotel. We were planning to hike the National Park the following day so this was a perfect location to set us up for that the following morning. The views overlooking the lake were fantastic and we really enjoyed the small town area nearby. Cocktails in the evening and morning breakfast on the patio were so relaxing and a great start to our France vacation.
The location of the hotel , looking over the lake is gorgeous. It is lovely to have breakfast there overlooking the lake. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly and we had a warm welcome even though we arrived at almost 10pm. The room is clean , shower good , free parking. The hotel receptionist was also very helpful with places we wanted to see and took trouble to show us the various places on the map.
Clean, comfortable rooms, reasonable size, with little balconies that are large enough for the whole family. Good air con.
Helpful, friendly staff.
Shop and pizzeria nearby: can make your own breakfast with fresh croissants/baguettes etc.
15 mins from beach, fair choice of local restaurants, though the hotel restaurant is OK too.
Good location for exploring the amazing gorge - if you have a car.
Lovely hotel close to the lake. Room had small kitchen with equipment which was very handy and balcony where we ate our breakfast. Location is perfect to explore area. Very nice and friendly staff. And we could have our cat with us. The room was big enough for all of us. Good price for stay. Definitely recommend. Do not expect luxury but this is not about, people and place make this stay perfect
Lovely hotel, very good quality vs price ratio. Staff is really friendly. The view of the room is on the lake (for almost of not all the room). Most of the room are also having balcony.
The breakfast on the terrace in the morning is great.
There is plenty of parking available and the beach is only down the hill with some water sport activities.
An older hotel in terms of decor. But that didn't bother us. We loved it all. The view from the terrace is like a little price of heaven. The breakfasts there was amazing. There is a path when to the nearest beach. The location was great. The local restaurants in the village lovely. Just loved it. And the staff were kind, friendly and helpful.
The Hotel is beautifully set above the lake below with gorgeous views. Rooms facing the lake have ample sized balconies with chairs and tables. Breakfast offered a good assortment of foods. Lovely patio for dining. A nice selection of restaurants in this small town. Very comfortable, laid back setting.
The location is really good. If you plan to visit Sainte-Croix, this is the place I recommend for your stay. It's only a 5-minute drive from the hotel to the lake. The room is a little bit old, but everything is clean. The dinner in the hotel is excellent. Overall, it's a nice place to stay. I love it.
What a great hotel in a lovely little complex! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, room was clean and well appointed. Restaurants and walk to the lake were right there. Perfect overnight stop on our touring holiday
The staff was very nice to us and helped with everything we needed!!😊 The room was nice and the the dinner at the restaurant of the hotel was great! The location of the hotel is perfect.
The location is magical! There is a path from the hotel leading to the lake. And by the lake, there is a snack bar that offers light meal options like tapas, pizzas.
Nicely located at the edge of the town, the lake is accessible by footpath straight from the hotel. Great view from the terrace. Highly accommodating staff!
