We had a car from Salzburg, and it took about 80 minutes to drive to Kitzbühel. We went there for skiing and we were not disappointed. The ski lift is about a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel. The town itself is lovely, old buildings coupled with modern shopping. There's plenty of choices for restaurants and bars. We mainly ate at our restaurant, but there are other places to eat. It's a nice place to walk around, although some of the roads do not have footpaths. We would definitely come here again.

A pretty town with a Christmas market from 1 December.
A pretty town with a Christmas market from 1 December. It seemed like we were a bit pre season so some shops/bars/cafes not open yet.
Easy to navigate and hilly as you’d expect and get to by train from Innsbruk. Locals all very good English speaking and English menus - puts us to shame. Food at the top of cable car was good,

Kitzbühel - yes, there are better ski areas.
Kitzbühel - yes, there are better ski areas. Yes, I believe there are better resorts for apres-ski but as an all round, friendly, traditional, fun resort there is no better. Over 80 experiences of the town in summer and winter has given me a bit of a head start on first timers - you will not be disappointed.

While this town is best known for alpine skiing (the world-...
While this town is best known for alpine skiing (the world-famous Hahnenkammrennen downhill takes place here) it is equally awesome in the summer! The town is alive and has myriad activities to do, from hiking to cycling to simply hanging out at local restaurants, bars, and clubs. The cable car system can take you anywhere, and one of the best activities is to hike down the famous Streif alpine racing course (i.e. the Hahnenkamm), which takes about 2.5-3 hours. If you have time take a lunch break during the hike at the Seidelalm Hutte, where the food and drink are plentiful and the views perfect. In town there are many fabulous places to eat, drink, and shop. If you want the full Hahnenkamm experience make a late-night stop at The Londoner Pub, where the winner of the downhill ski race tends bar the evening after their victory (it's a lot less raucous in the summer but it's still a great place to go for a beer). The entire town is walkable - no car necessary - and frequent ÖBB train service makes this place accessible from major cities (e.g. Innsbruck, Salzburg, Vienna, Munich).

The ski resort is perfect for skiers.
The ski resort is perfect for skiers. However, I'm a snowboarder and have been in ones that are better. The snowparks are very small and on the side the mountains that have much less slopes. To cross to the bigger area you need to cross the river and town (about 15min walk).
Everything! Especially our penthouse and the service. The location is great with a wonderful view towards Streif. The chalet is beautifully furnished and very convenient, every apartment has its own sauna which is great. The breakfast is one of the best we’ve had. And the staff is amazing, in particular a lady at the hotel restaurant. I’m so sorry I forgot her name but she took such care of our family, I don’t have enough words to thank her.
Very nice hotel in the Tyrol area. It's stark clean. The staff is extremely helpful. The bed was the most comfortable one I had in Austria. The balcony was very spacious and I loved seating there.
Pool and Sauna were wonderful, we should've spent more time there.
The breakfast was way beyond what we expected and tasted wonderful.
This hotel is much more beautiful than in the pictures, with its own parking space. It has very nice pool and wellness area, it is located 5 minutes from shops and big supermarkets, and 15 minutes walk from the old town of Kitsbuhel. The owners gave us very useful tips for restaurants. Overall it was a great trip.
This was our second visit to this hotel within one month. We just love it. Great decor, facilities (The Gym is probably the best I have seen and the Spa is nice as well), comfy bar, lovely and helpful staff, and great food. Just a whole package of excellence. Great job guys! We will be back soon again.
Very nice personnel from the front desk girls to the wait staff to the housekeepers. We had a large room with a balcony. Soft comfortable beds and very quiet. But the best part is the superb location. Right on the paste! Ski in, ski out. Short walk to town with all the shops and restaurants.
Great family owned and oriented hotel. Everyone who works there was so friendly. Good restaurant, very nice when it’s light outside with the glass roof. Our suite had great views of the mountains. Very well maintained historic property. Close to the main walkable areas of Kitzbühel.
I liked the fact that it's obviously a family business and Gabriella is running the whole place by herself, cooking, cleaning, answering requests, everything.
She is taking care of her guests in the best Austrian way.
Recently renovated.
Lovely staff, great breakfast with a nice, large, clean room and balcony to the mountains. We sandwiched this stay between two cities and the Hotel Resch was a beautiful, scenic getaway with what felt like 5 star treatment
This hotel is definitely working on a 5 star level. I have stayed at many 5 star hotel who can’t compete with the service this hotel offers. I am very impressed and I work myself for many years in luxury hospitality.
the hotel is newly renovated, a lot of space in the room. everything comfortable. beautiful location by the lake. parking convenient. walking distance from the center. good variety for breakfast. lovely spa
The hotel is across the street from one of the lifts. If you’re lucky, the train may also drop you off there. Great breakfast and we also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Beautiful town and ski area.
Clean and tidy, friendly staff. Breakfast is all right, but the room is very basic. Walk about 10 minutes to the town centre. Hotel is well decorated though it is old.
The owner and people running this hostel are incredible. There is no other word for it. Staying here was the best part of a trip I have planned for over 49 years.
Breakfast was pretty awful: cold cuts, yogurt, not great coffee.
The dinners were fantastic though - probably the best I had in Austria. Hearty and delicious.
Charming older hotel near old town Kitzbuhel with affordable rooms. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, cold cuts and breads.
