Cosy room and cool location with gorgeous views of the mountains. Extra things like towel warmers and electric blankets made the cold nights even better. The host was lovely and she made an amazing breakfast and was so warm and inviting and was happy to share her knowledge of the area.
Featuring beautiful views of the mountain ski slopes, Candlelight Lodge offers spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi. It features a restaurant, bar and cosy lounge area with open fireplace.

The staff are friendly and professional, and they go the extra mile.
The restaurant is great, and I noticed that it's a place that locals go, which is always a good sign.
Fantastic view from the room.

Quirky but cool. Awesome location. Good for 2 bikes but anymore than 3 would have been tricky.
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Thredbo this weekend is SAR 894 or, for a 4-star hotel, SAR 2,141. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Thredbo for this weekend cost on average around SAR 3,864 per night (based on Booking.com prices).

Lovely to attend the Blues festival for my annual visit (not a snow lover) and enjoy the Village in summer. Enjoyed the Gondola for my first time and loved the ride, and that there is a venue at the top to eat or drink or listen to music.. If planning to eat out do take plentyof $$$ss as no cheaper options ecept the bakery and cafe on the Village square..

Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures.
Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures. However, it's very expensive. It stuns me that a golf course takes up so much of the small amount of space available, which limits accommodation and keeps prices high. Who goes to Thredbo to play golf?!

Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to.
Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to. Great for children. Snow was not great this season unfortunately, lift pass at $200/day is a bit pricey, lessons for adults were also high - used to be much cheaper pre-covid for lift and lesson. Ski school instructors, most were pretty good with kids - pleased with that.

Skiing in Australia will also be a bit of a risk.
Skiing in Australia will also be a bit of a risk. Massively expensive for potentially poor snow coverage.
Thredbo had such limited accessibility on one of our days everyone getting down the run then had to take off their ski/snowboard to hike through mud to the only available chairlift from main hub. Enormous queue. Saw people arrive and just turn around. There are limited options to get out of front valley when the wind shuts down the the chairlifts. This was end of July - peak season.
I recommend Perisher over Thredbo in terms of reliable access to snow.

Thredbo is easy to get too, and the drive there from either direction (especially from Khancoban) is Fantastic. There is a lot of chair rides, and a Gondala ride, if you want to just go for sight seeing, and the Board Walk on the top of the mountain is a "must-do" in the out of season times.
Thredbo is probably one of the best locations for mountain bike riding.

The room was lovely. Spotless.
The room was lovely. Spotless. Heated flooring and towel rails. Large bathroom with plenty bench space. Lovely breakfast in shared dining room. Beautiful views from picturesque windows. Hosts were wonderful. The only problem is the access. To the chalet. Going down 52 odd steps. Is fine if you have no health issues or knee problems. And we were fortunate to have only a small bag. This is the only issue I have with pure Thredbo. But it’s important to let others know. I have friends who would not have been able to stay had they have known of the steps
Otherwise. Perfect
The apartment has a breathtaking view of Eagle’s Nest. A perfect way to wake up! While on the map, the apartment looks a distance from Thredbo Village, it’s pretty much a walk to everything with the stairs linking the mountain. For the days that we’re wet and snowing, DVDs we’re on standby which was great for our 9 year old.
While this apartment was perfect for us, I wouldn’t recommend it for mobility compromised travellers as there are lots of stairs. Thanks Lantern for a fabulous stay!
Excellent location, close to the village square, village station and chairlifts. Beautiful mountain views. Very clean , looks brand new inside with high end appliances, practical & cosy decorations. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a balcony and garage undercover parking. Friendly, helpful staff.
We go to Thredbo every year as have stayed in many of the properties in Thredbo village, and the Snowgoose apartments are definitely one of the best and our favourite now.
The location is amazing. The hotel general areas exceeded my expectations in terms of decor, unfortunately the bar areas were closed for summer. The rooms are a very good size, daily cleaning was well done despite them being short of staff. The beds were super comfortable. The buffet breakfast was amazing - pastries were delicious & good selection otherwise. I would not hesitate to stay again during ski season/cooler months - see comments below.
The location is fantastic- very close to the slopes and a walk into the village. Steep hill and no parking on site so elderly people or anyone that finds hills difficult should be mindful.
The staff are absolutley wonderful as is the breakfast offering. Very generous and delicious.
The rooms are small and a bit stuffy. Overall though a really great lodge to stay if you want to be close to the slopes
Very comfortable, well stocked kitchen, clean, good hot water, roomy for a one bedroom apartment in Thredbo, comfortable sofa bed. Shuttle bus at the front door every 10 minutes, 5 minutes at peak ski times. Stairs go direct to Thredbo Village if you don't want to wait for the bus. Drying room in apartment for ski clothes, drying room near reception for boots, ski locker. All round excellent.
The bed was a very comfortable king bed and the location was excellent for accessing the village and the lifts. Room did not appear to be as shown in photos - no side tables, no large window.
Bathroom was very nicely fitted out but was let down by the door which had been patched and not repainted and there was no way of stopping water from the shower getting onto the floor. Breakfast was good.
Pablo met us at the reception bridge, and personally directed us to our room, as we'd requested a room location without too many stairs as we had a recent stroke victim with us, and his walking ability is a bit slow and limited. He and his family also made us feel welcome by recognising us in the bluesfest crowds and acknowledging us.
Lovely location, great view, easy access (via steps) to Thredbo Village and activities, ease of check-in/access (including text info' sent before visit), very clean and comfortable, additional touches like biscuits/port in shared kitchen/lounge, delicious home cooked breakfast included, very pleasant helpful host, parking included.
We are familiar with Mowamba. The location is excellent, virtually in the heart of Thredbo Village and easy to get to. The apartment was fairly generous, with plenty of seating in the lounge and beds, 3 showers including one in the spa bath, and a terrific refrigerator.
The apartment far exceeded our expectations. Everything was done with the residents in mind and with the possible convenience and comfort in the decor, bedding, furniture, and appliances.
We had a lovely weekend and will return sometime in the future.
Great lodge in the Thredbo ski villiage. Short walk to the gondola and overnight parking, great kitchen facilities and very nice staff. Good drop off area for cars too.
Room warm and comfortable. Shower hot and efficient. Breakfast good.
Staff helpful and professional. Hotel convenient for all shops, bars, restaurants and ski lifts.
