We did not expect much other than having a clean room per person and a big-and-comfortable public bath (Daiyokujo). On top of that we get free evening soba noodles, free drinks (unlimited apple juice) and free ice after baths, and free massage chair service. The whole place is also beautifully decorated. Not to mention that the room price is extremely low, that the place is at the city center, and close to the train station.

HOTEL MYSTAYS Aomori Station is a 3-minute walk from Aomori Train Station. Guests can enjoy their meals and a drink at the on-site café and restaurant. We chose this hotel because it’s near the Aomori station and a car rental company. Staff were nice. Breakfast was great. Room was small but manageable for 2 nights stay. Lobby was cozy offering European decoration and classical music playing in background - a contrasting theme to the small, slow-life Japanese town downstair.

A basic and cheap stay that is more than worth its price point. The place is about a 25 minute walk to Aomori Station and about a 15 minute walk to most of the relevant spots in Aomori, but everything else was perfect about it. Check-in was easy, the rooms were small, but comfortable. The included breakfast was an incredible buffet that was amongst the best I've had in all of Asia for something that's free and included in the stay. There's a whole cabinet of free amenities including laundry detergent if you needed something for your stay

Great Location, minutes away from Aomori Station, A-factory and Nebuta Wa-rasse Museum, opposite the tourist information centre (with English speaking staff, and super helpful), and bus stops to get around to other sites seeing locations. The bed was comfy and all amenities provided for. Breakfast included was great, did not run out of food despite it being busy (and I think fully booked). Hotel staff were excellent and very friendly. Room suitable for solo traveller but will be too tight with luggage etc. with two people

The hotel chain, Super Hotels, has a great breakfast selection, focused on natural ingredients and local delicacies. Also, when you arrive at this particular chain, they give you a welcome drink at the bar, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. When I was there, they had several different types of local apple juices, a speciality of Aomori prefecture - a bit like wine-tasting but with apple juices! I also liked the fact that there was an onsen bath, although it's a public bath it's well worth it.

We loved the restaurant for breakfast. Although a simple spread, it had Western and Japanese food. They had sake, dessert, soup, salad and juices. There are restaurants nearby like Doutour, Ootoya and Gusto. It's a very short walk to Aomori Station, post office and public library. Nice room with ofuro (bath tub). They have a nice set of amenities in the lobby. They have coin laundry and dryer.

The staff were amazing, and the driver took us to the aquarium and back on our last morning before we took the train back to Aomori.
