Breakfast was simple but sufficient. It's located in the midst of a village. The walled hotel is surrounded by sand roads and small houses woth roofs of corrugated iron. It's a very local context. The hotel has a generator, if the electric grid fails and the evening begins, they will generally start up the generator.

We liked everything! The staff was very kind and helpful. We were like at home! The room was very big and clean. The equipment and the common areas were fantastic. The location was perfect for us, in a quiet place and not so far walking to the center of the village.

We stayed in the 2bedroom villa, which is around 5mins from the Lodge. It was super clean, quiet and pretty. We had our own pool and a wonderful garden. For food and drinks we went to the lodge. Alcoholic drinks and dinner was very tasty. The yard and common area is very green and spacious with many spots/ cushions to chill. Overall, a great experience.

We had an amazing stay here! Ismail, the host, was helpful with all the questions we had. His wife is a great chef, we ate all 3 meals of the day with them. She even prepared us lunch to take with us for our safari in the Saadani National park. Even their 2 year old son is already a great host. We chose this place because it's only a 1h drive away from the Saadani National Park. Furthermore there's a beautiful beach in walking distance and Bagamoyo is a lovely village.

    - The staff is super helpful and nice. - Food was very tasty. - The compound in general is fantastic. A very rustic old mansion and you can the thoughts having been put into renovating this place. - The pool in the courtyard was refreshing and reasonably clean. - Extra points for the "Best-of-the-80s-compilation" being played in the courtyard all the time - no joke, I loved it!
